The PepsiCo Foundation: Hispanic Business Program

Hispanic Food and Beverage Business Grants/Hispanic Food and Beverage Business Coaching

Grants of up to $10,000 will be awarded to 150 qualifying businesses. Business coaching in English and Spanish for 500 Hispanic-owned food and beverage businesses. Eligible Hispanic food and beverage businesses must have earned less than $1 million in 2020 and be located in Dallas (or 12 other cities). The program is designed to help business owners at every level retain employees and construct long-term business plans to support their economic recovery and set them on the path to generational wealth.

  • Grants up to $10,000 for 150 Businesses

Small Business Microgrant Program

 This Microgrant Program is to assist small businesses impacted by the economic downturn caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic. The program will provide businesses in Dallas County with no more than 1-5 employees and annual revenue under $51 thousand, with a one-time grant of up to $2,000. The primary focus of the Small Business Grant Program is to fund Minority Women-Owned Businesses in Dallas County. THE DEC NETWORK: Your Startup Cohort


This special opportunity for entrepreneurs & growth-stage small business owners based in the DFW Metroplex. This Bootcamp blends reading, research, and discussion on a range of topics with experienced business experts, financial coaches, mentors, and entrepreneurs. Participants will plan and analyze their vision by creating a thoroughly tested business plan in order to help them prepare for long-term business success with access to funding. Program requirements include having a registered business, being in business for at least two years, is based in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, and paying a $35 application fee. Powered by Target. 

  • $2,000 microgrant to support startup costs, and 
    • Guidance from a mentor in The DEC Network Mentor Program
    • Ongoing community support from the DEC@Redbird Team the first 180 days after training 
    • Membership in The DEC Network’s Community with additional resources and support

Pitch Competition for Women-Owned Small Business 

Women-owned small business are invited to apply for this pitch competition if your business transformed or was re-invented during the uncertain times of the pandemic. An awardee will be named for each of the 5 regions of Texas, determined by where the business is located. This special opportunity is made possible by Sempra Energy’s support of the Beacon State Fund.
Qualifications: Must be at least 51% women-owned and managed, registered in the State of TX, operated for more than 12 months, employed 15 or less in 2020 and with revenues of $1,000,000 or less in 2020.

SAFEs, Convertible Notes, and Equity: What Are The Differences, And How Do You Pick?
